About

I’m the guy who tends to over-think life. I can’t help it – I’ve consistently found being a Caucasian, American male in the 21st century to be a strange existence. As a result of my various zig-zags in life, you’ll find me writing about a random range of ideas… reflections on fatherhood to urban design, art & music to cultural identity, faith wrestlings to environmental sustainability.

We made a leap to Portland, Oregon in February of 2011 after years in the Phoenix, Arizona desert. Portland is an easy city to love.

This site is the latest version of my online presence, which I began with a Blogger site back in 2006.  I’m not a terribly consistent writer (my wife is better), but it does provide a bit of a release for me from time to time.
